Kemba Walker PG/SG
21 years old, Junior
2011 stats: 41 games, 23.5 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 4.5 apg, 2.o spg, 2.3 tpg, 43%FG, 82% FT
Prediction: Between the 7th and 10th picks
Strengths: Very explosive scorer, can get to anywhere he wants on the court. Has some of the best hesitation, crossover, and step back moves with the ball I have seen since Allen Iverson. Constantly has the ability to get in the lane and create for himself and others. Was a tremendous leader and made big shot after big shot all year long, leading his team to a national championship. Gets to the line often and makes a high percentage(81%). For a man his size, he rebounds the ball well.
Weaknesses: Shot a low percentage last season, and it was mostly due to his role on the team. He was left taking plenty of shots with the shot clock winding down. His assist to turnover ration(2 to 1) was pretty high as well. His transition from scoring guard in college to running a team in the NBA is something I’m looking forward to seeing. Even though he measured out at 6’1′, he still is smaller then plenty of the point guards he will face.
