Prediction: Top 5 pick
Strengths:Very good shooter with a quick and accurate release. Has great form and NBA three point range. Has an array of floaters in the lane his uses to score over bigger defenders. Has nice height and length for a point guard and shows the willingness to defend. Could turn into a solid defensive player due to his quickness and length.
Weaknesses: He’s more of a undersized two guard then a point guard. He’s going to get drafted high, being expected to make the transition to the 1. He turns the ball over plenty, tends to make bad decisions with the ball driving to the basket. Isn’t overly athletic and isn’t explosive going to the hole finishing. Needs to add weight to his frame. I see more of a Jason Terry/Jamal Crawford type of role for him in the pro’s, which isn’t bad. But he going this high due to the top prospects returning to school has him in the position of going way higher then he should.
