Jordan Hamilton SF/SG
20 years old, Sophomore
2011 stats: 36 games, 18.6 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 44% FG, 78% FT, 38% 3PT FG
Prediction: Late lottery
Strengths: One of the best scorers in the draft, at age 20 Hamilton has a pretty polished offensive game. He can shoot it with accuracy from mid range, and from deep. He is good running off of screens and picks and catching and shooting. Makes contested shots on a regular basis and uses his good size and length over smaller players in the post area. Rebounds the ball well for a small forward/shooting guard. Came into college a highly touted player and struggled during his freshman year but was a totally different player this season. Has NBA 3 point range. Doesn’t need a lot of space to get his shot off.
Weaknesses: Has bad shot selection, was really bad as a freshmen, but eventually got a little better as a sophomore. Not a great defender by any means, he does put forth a better effort then he did the year prior. Not a real explosive athlete. Doesn’t get to the foul line as often as a scorer with his talent should.
