Being down 3-0 in the series at one point was tough to overcome, but being in a 3-0 hole in 1st period of game 7? It wasn’t too much for the Broad Street Bullies. The Bruins got off to the 3-0 lead due to goals by Micheal Ryder and Milan Lucic, whom scored two. The Flyers got on the board with 2:48 left in the first period when James van Riemsdyk scored his first career playoff goal. Second period goals by Scottie Hartnell and Danny Briere tied the game and the pressure was on the Bruins not to blow the game. The Flyers took advantage of a too many on the ice penalty and Simon Gagne scored the game winning power play goal with 7:08 left in the third period.Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Montreal Canadiens will played Sunday night at 7pm in Philadelphia.
