Dallas Braden of the Oakland A’s, pitched the 19th perfect game in MLB history today against the Tampa Bay Rays. It was the second perfect game this season and the third no hitter. Mark Buerhle pitched a perfect game on July 23 against the Rays and Ubaldo Jiemenez pitched a no hitter against the Braves on April 17th. Braden threw 109 pitches, 77 for strikes and struck out 6 batters. After the out, Braden was mobbed by his teammates and then greeted with a big embrace from his grandmother, Peggy Lindsey who raised him after his mother passed while he was in high school.
